We have an exciting opportunity for a APAC/ASEAN Chief of Staff & ASEAN Alliance Product Lead to join our Pharmaceuticals business.
This is a key leadership role within the APAC and ASEAN Leadership Teams, combining enterprise leadership impact with direct commercial accountability.
You will play a critical role in driving performance, alignment, and culture across a region representing €800M in pharmaceutical sales, while owning and leading an ASEAN alliance portfolio ( €100M) across Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore.

As Chief of Staff (APAC/ASEAN), you will:
. Shape and drive the leadership agenda, aligning vision, priorities, and measurable outcomes to accelerate execution
. Drive an operating model rooted in ownership, ensuring focus on enterprise outcomes beyond country, brand, or function
. Identify organizational gaps, barriers, and opportunities, translating insights into clear and actionable outcomes
. Lead co-creation of APAC/ASEAN priorities with Leadership Teams, ensuring disciplined tracking and delivery
. Drive regional pipeline readiness and launch excellence in alignment with Global teams, Regulatory, and markets
. Enable high performance across APAC Centers of Excellence (CoEs), building capabilities and scaling best practices
. Establish and manage a clear governance framework, including leadership cadence, business reviews, and decision tracking
. Ensure clarity, consistency, and impact of the APAC/ASEAN narrative across leadership engagements and communications
. Accelerate decision-making by bringing together the right stakeholders, insights, and data at the right time
. Drive execution of key WWM priorities, ensuring alignment and consistency across the region
. Continuously evolve the APAC/ASEAN operating model with leadership teams and DSO practitioners
. Manage highly sensitive and confidential information with sound judgment and discretion
. Foster a strong One Leadership Team mindset, enhancing trust, alignment, and shared accountability
As ASEAN Alliance Product Lead, you will:
. Own full P&L accountability for the ASEAN alliance portfolio ( €100M), driving growth, profitability, and value creation
. Define and evolve partner strategy, including portfolio prioritization, lifecycle management, and market focus
. Lead end-to-end partnership management including identification, evaluation, contracting, renewal, and exit
. Hold partners accountable to ambitious KPIs, ensuring delivery of commercial and financial outcomes
. Drive structured business planning and performance reviews, identifying risks and opportunities and acting decisively
. Ensure partners deliver best-in-class commercial execution based on strong customer, market, and scientific insights
. Negotiate and finalize high-impact agreements aligned with Bayer's strategic and financial goals, ensuring the right incentives and behaviours
Across all aspects of the role, you will:
. Ensure patient-focused, compliant decision-making, aligned with legal, medical, and regulatory standards
. Embed a culture of evaluating benefits, risks, and cross-functional perspectives in decision-making
Does this sound like you
. 10+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceuticals or related industry
. Proven track record of delivering strong business results with clear ownership mindset
. Experience across marketing, sales, and/or business leadership roles
. Demonstrated ability to lead across functions, markets, and cultures
. Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate into execution and measurable outcomes
. Experience managing external partners, distributors, or alliance business models
. Strong influencing and negotiation capabilities with senior stakeholders (internal and external)
. Ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to generate insights and drive decisions
. Excellent communication and storytelling capabilities, translating complexity into clear narratives
. High learning agility with strong leadership presence (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach)
. Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills with proven ability to build trust
. Ability to manage multiple high-stakes priorities simultaneously without loss of performance
. Bachelor's degree required advanced degree preferred
. Fluency in English and willingness to travel
