Job Description
The API/Integration Developer will be responsible for:
- Developing interfaces and integration architecture
- Managing integration of disparate systems and data repositories
- Design, development and maintaining RESTful APIs to facilitate communication between internal systems, third-party services, and external partners
- Ensure API scalability, security, and compliance with industry standards
- Work closely with the Solution Architect to ensure seamless integration
- Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance the functionality of FinTech solution
- Perform data mapping and transformation to enable seamless data flow between different systems
- Implement data validation and cleansing processes to maintain data integrity
- Detect & remediate production issues related to integration
- Conduct unit tests ensuring systems meet the needs of stakeholders based on technical documentation
- Provide support to internal teams and external partners in resolving integration-related issues
- Create comprehensive documentation for APIs, integrations and data mappings
- Implement and enforce security best practices in API development and integration
- Collaborate with the security team to ensure compliance with industry regulations
- Act as a subject matter expert on APIs and Integration
The Successful Applicant
The API/Integration Developer will be/have:
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in APIs and Integration Development/Architecture, ideally within the Financial Services industry
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js
- Experience with API management platforms (e.g., Apigee, MuleSoft)
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices
- Knowledge of authentication and authorisation mechanisms (OAuth, JWT)
- Familiarity with message queue systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka) is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Based in/willing to relocate to Riyadh
