Job Summary
The Yokogawa ProSafe Engineer is responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), primarily using Yokogawa ProSafe-RS. The role involves developing safety logic, supporting testing and commissioning activities, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, program, and maintain Yokogawa ProSafe-RS SIS
- Develop SIS logic, interlocks, and shutdown schemes
- Prepare Cause & Effect matrices
- Develop Safety Requirement Specifications (SRS)
- Create and review:
- Logic diagrams
- Cause & Effect charts
- Loop diagrams
- I/O lists
- Perform and support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
- Perform and support Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
- Support site commissioning and system start-up
- Troubleshoot SIS and control system issues
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and fail-safe design
- Coordinate with project and engineering teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Control Engineering, or a related discipline
Experience:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in SIS or control systems engineering
Technical Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Yokogawa ProSafe-RS
- Knowledge of safety PLC architecture, redundancy, and fail-safe design
- Experience in SIS documentation and engineering deliverables
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, Ethernet)
- Understanding of safety I/O systems and voting logic (1oo2, 2oo3)
- Experience with Yokogawa CENTUM VP DCS is a plus
