As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a motivated Application Engineer (HVAC) to support our technical and sales teams in delivering efficient, compliant, and innovative HVAC solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the selection of HVAC equipment including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF, DX units, and ventilation systems.
- Support senior engineers in system sizing, capacity calculations, and equipment selection.
- Review project requirements, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Ensure selected HVAC systems comply with project specifications, applicable codes, and standards.
- Perform or assist with cooling and heating load calculations.
- Prepare preliminary HVAC system concepts under supervision.
- Support ductwork, piping, airflow, and pressure drop calculations.
- Assist in preparing technical submittals, datasheets, and equipment schedules.
- Prepare method statements and technical clarifications as required.
- Maintain organized and updated technical files and project documentation.
- Support the sales and tendering teams during bidding stages.
- Assist in preparing technical proposals and compliance sheets.
- Respond to technical queries from clients and consultants under supervision.
- Provide technical support during installation, testing, commissioning, and handover stages.
- Attend site meetings and site visits when required.
- Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely material delivery.
- Continuously develop knowledge of HVAC codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, local codes).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 13 years of experience in HVAC, MEP, construction, or contracting environments.
- Basic to advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, components, and selection principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
- Willingness to learn, grow technically, and gain site exposure.
