Job Description

1. JOB PURPOSE:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Healthcare Information Systems Implementation Specialist to join our team in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing healthcare information systems, with a particular focus on Blood Bank Information Systems (BBIS), to support operational requirements and ensure efficient, reliable system performance.

2. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analyze business processes and stakeholder requirements to identify system needs and implementation objectives.

  • Install, configure, test, and deploy healthcare information systems, including Blood Bank Information Systems (BBIS).
  • Ensure system compatibility, performance, security, and data integrity throughout implementation projects.
  • Customize and adapt software solutions to meet clinical, operational, and business requirements.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and end-user training to ensure successful system adoption.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT teams, healthcare professionals, and business stakeholders to improve workflows and optimize system efficiency.
  • Participate in data migration, system validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT) activities.
  • Support project planning, implementation, and post-go-live activities.

3. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in implementing healthcare information systems such as HIS, LIS, BBIS, or similar healthcare platforms for at least 5 years.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025).
  • Solid understanding of database management systems, including Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle Database.
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and data exchange protocols, including HL7, ASTM
  • Experience integrating healthcare systems with laboratory analyzers, blood bank equipment, and HIS/LIS systems.
  • Familiarity with system architecture concepts, networking, and infrastructure components.
  • Experience with project management tools and implementation methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project implementations and customer support activities.

4. PREFERRED COMPENETNICE:

  • Professional proficiency in English and French; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Previous experience with Blood Bank Information Systems, particularly the Hematos system.
  • Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards and data exchange protocols.
  • Experience working in healthcare environments, including hospitals, blood banks, or laboratory settings.
