Application Support Analyst

Job Summary

This role supports trading applications and exchange connectivity for Global Derivatives Markets. You will troubleshoot complex trading issues, collaborate with software and infrastructure engineers, and maintain Linux and Windows systems across global cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to client support requests and enquiries to ensure timely resolution.
• Monitor critical systems and infrastructure alerts, resolve issues proactively, and escalate when necessary.
• Support customers by diagnosing and resolving issues related to order entry, risk management, and exchange connectivity.
• Analyze complex order and trade histories to identify root causes of problems.
• Coordinate deployment and configuration of company products for new customers.
• Manage distribution and installation of software enhancements and upgrades.
• Collaborate with exchanges and software engineers to test and validate new software releases.
• Work with infrastructure teams to test and complete server and network upgrade projects.
• Liaise with overseas offices to provide seamless 24-hour customer support across multiple time zones.

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• Proficiency with Linux OS and Linux-based server applications, including command line tools such as grep, sed, and awk.
• Strong analytical skills to perform complex log file analysis and identify root causes effectively.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience supporting applications connected to major global derivatives exchanges such as CME, EUREX, SGX, or OSE.
• Familiarity with exchange protocols including OmNet, ITCH/OUCH, and FIX.
• Basic network troubleshooting skills using tools such as telnet.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience with bash or Perl scripting.
• Exposure to public cloud providers such as AWS.
