We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to join their technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting business-critical applications, ensuring system stability, managing production releases, and driving continuous service improvements within a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Development, Infrastructure, QA, and Business teams to investigate, troubleshoot, test, and deploy application enhancements and fixes.
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 production support for business-critical applications, ensuring compliance with agreed service levels (SLAs).
- Perform incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive measures to improve application stability and reliability.
- Manage Release Management activities, including raising Change Requests (CRs), coordinating deployment schedules, and executing release implementation and live verification.
- Support application deployments, production releases, patches, hotfixes, and post-deployment validation across multiple environments.
- Ensure production changes are implemented in accordance with SDLC processes, change management procedures, and organizational governance requirements.
- Monitor application performance and system health, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maintain platform stability and availability.
- Perform application health checks, deployment validation, data patching, credential management, and production environment support.
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and support production operations.
- Maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, deployment procedures, and knowledge base articles.
- Support application testing, bug fixing, and deployment activities.
- Analyse production issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and recommend improvements to enhance application reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in application support, production support, or application operations.
- Experience providing Level 2 and/or Level 3 application support.
- Knowledge of incident management, change management, and release management processes.
- Experience supporting application deployments, production releases, patches, and hotfixes.
- Familiarity with SDLC processes and production support practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
