Role Description The Approval Doctor–Eco-Health role is a full-time, on-site position based at SEKEM Group's headquarters in Cairo, Egypt. The individual in this role will review, assess, and approve eco-health related products, processes, and practices, ensuring they meet medical, ecological, and regulatory standards. Day-to-day tasks include conducting medical and environmental risk assessments, evaluating product documentation and clinical or scientific evidence, and collaborating with internal teams on eco-health policies and guidelines. The role also involves monitoring compliance with relevant health regulations, supporting quality assurance activities, and providing expert medical input on sustainable and biodynamic practices. Close coordination with the medical clinic, development foundation, and agricultural teams is expected to align health outcomes with SEKEM's ecological and social mission.
Qualifications

• Medical qualifications: Advanced degree in medicine (MD or equivalent), valid license to practice, and professional experience in public health, occupational health, environmental medicine, or a related field.
• Eco-health and sustainability expertise: Knowledge of environmental health principles, sustainable agriculture, organic/biodynamic practices, and the health impacts of ecological systems.
• Regulatory and quality skills: Experience with health regulations, product approval processes, clinical or scientific documentation review, and quality assurance in healthcare or pharmaceuticals.
• Analytical and research abilities: Strong skills in evidence evaluation, risk assessment, data interpretation, and the ability to translate scientific findings into practical guidelines.
• Communication and collaboration: Clear written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including medical, agricultural, and community development staff.
• Additional beneficial qualifications: Familiarity with Egyptian health regulations, previous work in rural or community health settings, experience with NGO or social enterprise environments, and proficiency in Arabic.
