Job Description

Role Purpose:

The position is responsible for managing design-related tasks, including the creation of store designs specific to the relevant markets. The Architect will play a critical role in all phases of the architectural process, from conceptual design through construction administration, ensuring that our projects uphold the highest standards of functionality, aesthetics, and brand identity. Additionally, this role serves as a supportive function within the company, assisting with business requirements and ensuring that design proposals and solutions comply with broader Americana standards and policies to achieve departmental goals.

What you'll Own:

  • Translate the organization's vision into functional, aesthetically pleasing designs and generate innovative solutions aligned with project objectives and business needs.
  • Design customer‑centric spaces by understanding flow patterns and prepare demarcation layouts plus measured site surveys for multiple F&B/Retail brands.
  • Lead remodel, renovation, and retrofit scoping, collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with briefs and organizational requirements.
  • Produce accurate, high‑quality drawings and documentation while adhering to design specifications, budgets, timelines, and Americana brand/brand design guidelines.
  • Ensure all designs comply with MEP requirements, local regulations, and geographical standards while addressing concerns and presenting professional design solutions.
  • Follow up with stakeholders to meet SLA timelines, demonstrate urgency in daily tasks, and continuously update the PMO tool and line manager on progress.
  • Utilize relevant design software (AutoCAD, Revit, 3D Studio Max, Rhino, SketchUp, etc.) and stay updated on industry trends, codes, and software as part of continuous professional development.
  • Conduct thorough self‑reviews to minimize errors, propose value‑engineering options, and support design adjustments during construction while communicating impacts promptly.
  • Assist project/construction teams in reviewing nonstandard materials/finishes and take corrective design actions to improve guest and customer experience.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the design cycle and perform additional duties or assigned projects as required.

What You'll Require:

Education:

  • Bachelor of Architecture (5 years).
  • Master of Architecture (not essential but will be a plus)

Experience:

  • 3-5 years experience post-graduation as an Architect.
  • Prior experience in Retail / Hospitality and F&B Design is mandatory.

Knowledge:

  • Ability to plan, organize and adapt in various situations to meet business objectives.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, accessibility standards, and life safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of F&B or retail specific design considerations (kitchen layouts, display areas, customer flow) is an essential.
  • Experience with space planning, customer flow analysis, and creating functional layouts.
  • Knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction methods specific to F&B or retail environments (a must).
  • Strong design presentation skills.
