Job Opportunity: Architect (Authority/Project Coordinator)
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (B. Arch).
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Revit Architecture, Adobe Photoshop, MS Office.
- Strong technical report writing skills.
- Expertise in Arabic/English documentation, translation, and correspondence.
- Preferably a native Arabic speaker with excellent English communication skills.
Key Requirements:
- Comprehensive knowledge of local authority regulations and portals in Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi, including submission processes and formats.
- A valid UAE driving license.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant role.
Main Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination:
- Actively contribute to controlling projects from initial proposal to BCC.
- Formulate and execute strategies for obtaining timely approvals, including exception approvals.
- Collaborate with the Business and Management Team to ensure client requirements align with authority regulations.
- Authority Liaison:
- Lead transactions with local authorities across the UAE based on project locations (Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, etc.).
- Spearhead preparation and review of authority submissions (online/physical).
- Attend technical discussions at municipalities and liaise with local authorities to obtain approvals.
- Maintain and update a checklist of required approvals and NOCs.
- Design Compliance:
- Review designs to ensure compliance with relevant codes and authority requirements.
- Provide solutions conforming to authority requirements and assist with exception approvals as needed.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain project documents for authority submissions, approvals, correspondence, minutes of meetings, etc.
- Update the team on existing and new authority regulations and maintain a comprehensive record.
- Team Support:
- Guide the design team to ensure accuracy and compliance with authority requirements.
- Contribute to concept design, schematic design, detailed design, and construction documents.
- Share updated authority guidelines with other architects/engineers and provide training.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Travel to sites for inspections and surveys.
- Assist HR with technical interviews for the Design department.
- Contribute to the company's Data Insights and Lessons Learned Database.
- Collaborate with the technology team to integrate and automate authority processes and requirements.
Skills Expected:
- Proficiency in Revit, PowerPoint, InDesign, Illustrator, and the Adobe Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Creative thinker with strong decision-making and negotiation skills.
