Job Description

Introduction

Customer Engineers provide technical leadership for customers around the world to help ensure their IT environments are kept optimized and healthy. The focus is to do this in a consultative manner to avoid future issues. This includes guidance on best practices, risk assessments, migrations, and onsite, remote and dedicated support services.

What we do best: Customer Engineers provide multiple services to our Enterprise customers to increase systems availability, resolve important issues, and improve the health of our customers environments.

We consult with experienced technical staff to ensure they have the skills to troubleshoot and maintain their solution following Microsoft best practices. When things do go wrong, we provide rapid on-site expertise to resolve important situations.

Requirements

  • Fluent German
  • Proficient in English
  • Handle customer important issues and work in difficult situations
  • Experience with Office Enterprise App, Office client
  • Experience with Project Online, Project Server,Planner
  • Technical Expertise
  • Required 5+ yearsofOffice 2016/M365 Apps related experience covering the following:
    • Good understanding in on-premises Office LTSC Versions/M365 Apps and Architecture for Windows
    • Basic understanding in on-premises LTSC Versions/M365 Apps for Mac
    • Deep in environment specific scenarios with third party Add-Ins and VBA Macros
  • Further Knowledge:
    • M365 Apps Admin Center capabilities
    • Cloud apps, Integrated apps, Enterprise apps
    • Office for the web apps (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience in migration projects
    • On-premises to on-premises: Office LTSC 2016/2019 to Office LTSC 2021/2024
    • On-premises to evergreen: Office LTSC to M365 Apps for Enterprise
    • Migrate from MSI-based to C2R-based installations
    • Migrate patch management from on-prem to Cloud Update
    • Migrate configuration management from on-prem to cloud (Cloud Policy/Intune)
