Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Technical Office Engineer (Design) with at least 5 years of experience in architectural design and technical office activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing architectural designs, preparing technical drawings, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, reviewing project documentation, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards. Fluency in French and English is essential for effective communication with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Technical Office
- Develop architectural concepts, detailed designs, and construction drawings.
- Prepare and review architectural shop drawings, working drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Ensure designs comply with local regulations, building codes, and project requirements.
- Coordinate architectural works with structural, MEP, and other disciplines.
- Review design documents, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Prepare material submittals and technical documentation.
- Participate in design development and value engineering exercises.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and assist in project estimation when required.
- Resolve design-related issues and provide technical support to project teams.
- Review and approve drawings submitted by subcontractors and consultants.
Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal departments regarding design requirements.
- Attend technical meetings and prepare related reports and presentations.
- Ensure proper communication and coordination between all project stakeholders.
- Support project execution teams by providing technical clarifications.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture Engineering or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Architectural Technical Office and Design.
- Experience in construction, engineering consultancy, or real estate development projects.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
- Strong experience with Revit, BIM, and architectural modeling tools.
- Good knowledge of 3D visualization software (SketchUp, Lumion, 3ds Max, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and detailing.
- Knowledge of international building codes and standards.
Language Requirements
- Fluent French (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) – Mandatory.
- Good command of English.
