Job Purpose
Manage and coordinate all architectural technical office activities, ensuring that drawings, specifications, quantities, and technical submissions are accurate, approved, and aligned with project requirements, contractual obligations, and execution needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all architectural technical office activities for assigned projects.
- Review and approve architectural shop drawings, coordination drawings, and details before submission.
- Ensure compliance of architectural works with contract documents, specifications, codes, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with other disciplines (Structural, MEP, BIM) to resolve design clashes and discrepancies.
- Lead value engineering proposals and technical solutions when required.
- Manage preparation and submission of architectural shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and samples.
- Ensure accurate revision control and document management in coordination with Document Control.
- Coordinate with site teams to ensure constructability and smooth execution of architectural works.
- Provide technical support to construction and supervision teams during execution.
- Attend coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Support quantity take-offs, BOQs review, and architectural variations.
- Assist in cost control, claims, and change management from architectural perspective.
- Monitor progress of architectural deliverables in line with project schedules.
- Lead, supervise, and develop architectural technical office engineers, draftsmen, and coordinators.
- Assign tasks, review performance, and ensure adherence to quality and timelines.
- Establish and improve technical office workflows and standards.
- Ensure architectural deliverables comply with QA/QC procedures and company standards.
- Support audits, inspections, and handover documentation preparation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering.
- Minimum 1215 years of experience in architectural works, with at least 5 years in a technical office management role.
- Alexandria Resident is highly preferred.
- Strong experience in large-scale buildings, mixed-use, residential, or infrastructure-related architectural works.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, finishes, and architectural detailing.
- Excellent knowledge of local codes, standards, and authority requirements.
- Strong ability to review contracts, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
