ARE Telecom Engineer

The ideal candidate will be a Telecom Engineer with strong 400 kV substation experience, preferably having worked on transmission projects in the UAE. The candidate should be comfortable working on-site, supervising contractors, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, reviewing technical documentation, and supporting telecom testing and commissioning through to final project handover.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Typically 8–12+ years of relevant experience in telecom engineering, preferably within HV/EHV transmission and substation projects.
• Strong experience in 400 kV substations and transmission environments.
• Previous experience in the UAE/GCC power transmission sector is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in telecom installation, testing, commissioning, and site supervision.
• Good understanding of electrical substation environments and interfaces between Telecom, Protection, Control, and SCADA systems.
• Experience working with EPC contractors, consultants, vendors, and utility/client representatives.
• Strong knowledge of technical documentation, inspection procedures, testing and commissioning activities.
