Area Manager | MAF Retail | Head Office Egypt
Role Summary
The Area Manager is the direct manager of each store manager of their area. The role holder has decision-making responsibilities concerning every day trading issues. Area managers are also responsible for assessing financial and administrative processes in the stores. The role holder should understand trends and be efficient with visual merchandising.
ROLE PROFILE
- Manage and support Store Managers across multiple stores within the assigned area to ensure operational excellence.
- Monitor store sales performance, profitability, and achievement of commercial targets.
- Ensure proper implementation of merchandising standards, promotions, product displays, and customer service practices. ]
- Analyze store performance reports, margins, inventory, waste, shrinkage, and pricing to identify improvement opportunities. ]
- Conduct regular store visits to assess asset utilization, operational compliance, and overall store conditions.
- Oversee budget management, cost control, and P&L performance for all assigned stores.
- Monitor stock quality, hygiene standards, and competitor activities to maintain operational and commercial effectiveness.
- Lead performance management, coaching, development, and training initiatives for Store Managers and store teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Management or a related field.
- MBA is an added advantage.
- At least 3 years of senior retail management experience across multiple disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of retail operations, commercial management, budgeting, and performance analysis.
- Professional proficiency in English; Arabic language skills are preferred.
