Job Description

At RAF Specialty Coffee, we are not just growing stores we are building a disciplined, performance-driven specialty coffee operation.

We're looking for an experienced Area Manager to lead multiple branches, drive sustainable revenue growth, enforce operational discipline, and standardize the customer experience across the region.

Role Objective

Lead and manage a group of branches to ensure:

This role requires strong field presence, analytical thinking, and the ability to develop branch leaders.

Key Responsibilities

1 Regional Operations Leadership

  • Develop and execute a structured monthly branch visit plan (100% coverage).
  • Conduct full operational audits covering: quality, cleanliness, customer experience, inventory, shift management, and training.
  • Issue structured visit reports with corrective action plans and deadlines.
  • Analyze branch performance variances (Sales, Waste, Customer Satisfaction, Discipline).
  • Intervene directly in underperforming branches with structured turnaround plans.
  • Ensure equipment readiness and maintenance coordination.

2 Financial Performance Management

  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
  • Analyze Same Store Growth trends.
  • Monitor waste percentage vs. target.
  • Control sales vs. cash discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with discount and promotion policies.
  • Maintain strong Cost / Waste / Labor control discipline.

3 Leadership & Talent Development

  • Conduct monthly one-on-one performance meetings with Branch Managers.
  • Approve development plans.
  • Identify promotable talents within the region.
  • Build internal leadership succession readiness.
  • Intervene in cases of leadership gaps.

4 Customer Experience & Brand Standards

  • Review OVR and Mystery Audit reports.
  • Analyze recurring complaint patterns.
  • Ensure unified customer journey across branches.
  • Monitor standards: presentation, ambiance, music, lighting, hygiene.
  • Support proper execution of promotional campaigns.

5 Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure full adherence to company SOPs.
  • Review attendance and discipline reports.
  • Oversee food safety and occupational health standards.
  • Escalate major violations to senior management.

6 Commercial & Market Intelligence

  • Monitor competitors within the region.
  • Report pricing trends and competitor offers.
  • Suggest applicable operational improvements.
  • Support new product testing initiatives.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (required)

Experience

  • 2+ years as Area Manager
  • 37 years in the Specialty Coffee industry (highly preferred)

Certifications (Preferred)

  • Food Safety Level 3
  • Advanced Barista Skills
