Job Summary

The Area Sales Manager plays a critical role in driving sales excellence across assigned clubs by enhancing sales performance, lead management, and customer journey consistency. This role partners closely with Area Business Managers (ABMs) and Club Managers to monitor results, coach sales teams, and ensure the full implementation of sales standards and national campaignsultimately driving sustained revenue growth and member acquisition.

Key Functional Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze sales KPIs across clubs, including leads, conversions, acquisitions, retention, and churn.
  • Conduct regular club visits to audit sales execution, lead management practices, and promotional activities.
  • Analyze sales data and trends to identify gaps, improvement opportunities, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of company sales processes, standards, and member experience guidelines across all clubs.
  • Support ABMs in designing and executing monthly sales action plans aligned with area targets.
  • Train, mentor, and coach Club Managers, Front Desk teams, and Membership Consultants to enhance sales capability and customer engagement.
  • Identify low-performing clubs or individuals and implement targeted improvement and follow-up plans in coordination with ABMs.
  • Conduct quality checks and structured coaching sessions to strengthen selling behaviors and service delivery.
  • Support onboarding, performance management, and development of new joiners within club sales teams.
  • Collaborate closely with ABMs and Club Managers to align priorities, track progress, and implement corrective measures.
  • Coordinate with the National Sales Manager on campaign execution, sales tools, and standards.
  • Prepare and share performance reports with ABMs and the Regional Director, highlighting challenges, insights, and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of sales audits, coaching sessions, and improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, brand standards, and member experience requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Regional Director, including targeted interventions for clubs requiring sales coaching or corrective actions.

Key Managerial Responsibilities

  • Cascade functional sales strategies into clear departmental business plans, ensuring vertical and horizontal alignment.
  • Lead and manage the achievement of objectives by setting individual targets, monitoring performance, and motivating teams.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring financial performance aligns with approved plans.
  • Implement and monitor departmental policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance and service excellence.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, sustainability, and cost optimization.
  • Ensure timely, accurate preparation of departmental reports in line with company policies and quality standards.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years in a related role.
  • At least 2 years in sales management, preferably within the health and fitness industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong analytical, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
