Summary of Service Requirement
The service requirement is to support the sales division as an Area Sales Manager. The key responsibility is to plan, propose, agree and monitor achievement of sales targets of the assigned markets, including all aspects of the importer sales performance and profitability in compliance with the Retail Standards; coordination within the regional office to support importers to achieve the agreed targets (retail sales, whole-sales, production, NPS, MYS).
Scope of the Service Requirement
- Steering and ensuring the sales targets are met. Conducts regular market visits to review operations to monitor the Importers performance.
- Analyses with assigned importers their respective key performance indicators, coaches and supports them in the development of corrective action plans in Sales and Marketing.
- Agrees with importers and aligns internally on sales volume (production, wholesale, and retail and is responsible for the business plan. Constantly reviews monthly sales performance vs. business plan with the dealer management and monitors sales target achievement (production, wholesale, retail)
- Takes immediate action in case of performance deviation to ensure achievement of sales targets (production, wholesale, retail).
- Elaborates and recommends tactical (CoR) measures for importers to achieve their vehicle sales objectives and drive new vehicle production orders; cautiously provides financial support where necessary (approvals internally). Work with financial services to develop financing offers.
- Constantly monitors competitors retail pricing and volume market movements. Drives implementation of provided product and price retail price and option profile strategies. Suggests product and price profile optimization measures.
- Ensures that importers adhere to all reporting deadlines (e.g. Weekly Retail Estimates, Forecast, Production Requests). Drives importers towards high forecast and reporting accuracy.
- Steers dealer development function for facility projects. Drives exploitation of market potential in uncovered markets or cities. Ensures that planning for staff, capacity, facilities are adequate. Supports sales trainings in seeking dealer participation.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business management or similar discipline.
Experience
- Proven experience in sales operations, production planning, or a related function, preferably within the automotive or luxury goods sector.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel and business intelligence platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships across diverse markets and cultures.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the Middle East and Africa automotive markets is a plus.
- Highly detail-oriented with a creative eye and strategic thinking.
- Adaptable, proactive, and collaborative team player.
