About the Role

The International Area Sales Manager is a core strategic role driving the company's international business expansion. This position is responsible for achieving regional sales targets, building and managing channel networks, and maintaining key customer relationships in assigned territories. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in sports medicine/minimally invasive orthopedics, proven distributor management capabilities, and strong cross-cultural business acumen.

Reporting Line: Regional Sales Manager

Location: Saudi Arabia

Area: Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain

Responsibilities

  • Sales Target Achievement: Based on the regional sales strategy, develop area sales plans and independently achieve regional sales targets and product volume objectives.
  • Distributor Development & Management: Independently develop new distributor partners within the region and expand existing channel resources; manage day-to-day distributor collaboration, promptly capture distributor operational dynamics and report to superiors; provide background research and analysis reports for distributor selection, retention, and elimination decisions.
  • Customer Relationship Management, Academic Support, Sales Support & Business Execution: Develop and maintain relationships with clinical KOLs and key hospital customers in the region; provide professional consultation on sports medicine products, surgical technique support, and solutions; assist distributors in bidding and quotation processes; complete product demonstrations, proposal development, contract negotiations, and other full-cycle sales activities to drive end-point sales execution.
  • Market Intelligence Collection & Feedback, and Registration/Market Access Support: Conduct in-depth research on competitive dynamics, market trends, clinical needs, and policy/regulatory changes within the region; collect market share data, competitor commercial activities, and customer product feedback; produce analytical reports for management; assist the registration department with product registration and market access-related support work in the region.
  • Marketing Activity Execution: Collaborate with HQ Marketing and the regional office to execute regional exhibitions, academic conferences, department meetings, and other marketing promotion activities; complete product display and brand promotion-related tasks.
  • Compliance & Administrative Work: Comply with company compliance policies and local industry regulations; complete monthly sales reports, financial demand forecasts, CRM system updates, expense reimbursements, and other administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualifications

  • Years of Industry Experience: 5+ years in the medical device industry; preference given to candidates with sports medicine-related experience.
  • Channel Experience: Extensive experience in 0-to-1 development of international distributors in untapped markets, and in distributor selection, development, retention, and exit management.
  • Clinical Experience (Preferred): Sports medicine clinical experience, such as surgical support (OR attendance), surgical assistance, and product support experience.

Required Skills

  • Industry Knowledge: Sports medicine / minimally invasive orthopedics market landscape, competitive products, policies (VBP/medical insurance/registration), market/customers.
  • Healthcare Compliance: Anti-commercial bribery, academic promotion, data security.
  • Global Regulations: FDA/CE/MDR, Greater China and overseas employment and compliance requirements.
  • Product Knowledge: Types, performance, applications, and usage of sports medicine and orthopedic device products; advantages and disadvantages of different product lines; clinical technology, FAB (Features, Advantages, Benefits), technical principles, applicable scenarios, competitive advantages, and related surgical techniques for core company products.
  • Medical professional knowledge, clinical application and surgical support, commercial & sales knowledge, cross-cultural communication and language proficiency (international).
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring new team members.
  • Successful track record in overseas new market business development (BD).
  • Cross-cultural work experience: Experience working in or conducting business in the assigned regional market; familiarity with local market culture and business practices.

Preferred Skills
