Area Sales Manager - Modern Trade

Our client, a leading global FMCG (Food) company, is looking to appoint à Field Area Manager based in Riyadh / Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The incumbent will lead the field sales team across the assigned region, driving sales growth, Modern Trade execution, customer relationships, route-to-market effectiveness, merchandisings standard, and in-store execution. The role will be responsible for achieving regional sales targets while developing a high-performing team and ensuring strong execution of commercial plans, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and brand guidelines across key retail outlets

Salary : AED 18,000–20,000 + Commission

Reporting to : Head of Sales

About the Role

Our client, a leading global FMCG/Food company, is looking for 2 Field Area Managers to lead field sales operations across Riyadh and Jeddah. The role will drive regional sales growth, Modern Trade execution, customer relationships, merchandising, Route-to-Market effectiveness, and in-store execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and deliver regional sales targets and KPIs.
• Lead, coach, and develop the field sales team.
• Manage Modern Trade / Key Account relationships and outlet coverage.
• Drive in-store execution, including availability, visibility, planograms, and merchandising.
• Develop and optimize call plans and Route-to-Market strategies.
• Execute promotions, seasonal campaigns, and commercial initiatives.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback.
• Provide regular sales performance and market reports to management.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales productivity, service levels, and execution.

Candidate Requirements

• 5+ years of sales experience, including team leadership.
• Strong experience in FMCG / Food / Beverage / Confectionery / Consumer Goods.
• Proven Modern Trade, Key Account, field sales, and merchandising experience.
• Experience achieving sales targets across multiple outlets.
• Saudi Arabia market experience is highly desirable.
• Experience with an MNC or established FMCG distributor preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, negotiation, and commercial skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
• Fluent Arabic and English – mandatory.
• Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
