Key Responsibilities
Analyze sales data, market insights, and consumer trends to identify opportunities and risks within pharmaceutical categories.
Develop and execute long-term strategic plans for category growth and market penetration.
Define and implement exit strategies for underperforming or non-profitable products.
Lead, manage, and develop the sales team, including analysts and support staff.
Build and strengthen strategic relationships with key vendors to improve pricing, service quality, and supply efficiency.
Act as a category leader in pricing strategies, promotions, and product ranging across all channels.
Ensure optimal product availability through accurate demand planning and order placement.
Lead category management initiatives to optimize product range, merchandising, and shelf performance.
Collaborate closely with buying, marketing, and merchandising teams to expand and optimize product categories.
Develop accurate sales forecasts to support inventory sustainability and minimize stock risks.
Manage sales budgets, revenue targets, and profitability for assigned categories.
Maintain strong cross-functional collaboration with buying, marketing, and merchandising teams to achieve business objectives.
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of total experience, including at least 5 years in a leading role.
Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry is mandatory.
Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Veterinary Medicine, or Science.
Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to interact effectively with employees at all organizational levels.
Demonstrated initiative and ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high performance standards.
High level of flexibility, adaptability, and strong work ethic.
