Job Description

Role Overview

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for leading Traditional Trade sales operations across Cairo & Giza, driving revenue growth, strengthening distributor partnerships, expanding market coverage, and ensuring the achievement of sales and distribution targets.

The ideal candidate should have solid FMCG experience, strong market knowledge, and the ability to lead field sales teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Management

Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

Monitor sales performance and ensure consistent business growth

Develop and execute sales plans aligned with company objectives

Ensure product availability and visibility across assigned territories

Distributor & Customer Management

Manage relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and key retail customers

Monitor distributor performance and ensure alignment with company KPIs

Support distributors in achieving coverage, sales, and collection targets

Resolve customer issues and maintain high service standards

Market Execution

Ensure proper execution of promotions and trade marketing activities

Expand market coverage and identify new business opportunities

Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends

Ensure compliance with merchandising and visibility standards

Team Leadership

Lead, coach, and develop sales supervisors and sales representatives

Conduct regular field visits and performance evaluations

Motivate the team to achieve sales and operational objectives

Identify training needs and support team development

Reporting & Analysis

Prepare accurate sales forecasts and periodic performance reports

Analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities and risks

Provide market insights and recommendations to management

Monitor collections and ensure healthy financial performance within the area

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, or related field

5+ years of experience in FMCG sales

Minimum 2 Years Of Experience In a Managerial Role

Strong experience in Traditional Trade sales operations

Deep understanding of Cairo & Giza markets

Proven track record in achieving sales and distribution targets

Strong leadership and team management capabilities

Excellent negotiation and communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Good command of English is an advantage

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
