Job Title:- ARMO Welder Master 1
Location:- SA-DAMMAM
Duration: 12 Months
Role Summary:-
The Welding & Fabrication Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all welding and fabrication activities in the shop to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
Essential Responsibilities:-
1- HSE & Compliance
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices at all times.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensures all welders and fitters follow safety rules and PPE requirements.
• Report and take corrective action on unsafe conditions or practices.
2- Welding & Fabrication Supervision
• Plan, prepare, and supervise all welding and fabrication activities in the shop.
• Assign jobs to welders and fabricators according to approved drawings, WPS, and project priorities.
• Monitor daily progress and ensure work is completed on schedule.
• Ensure all welding activities comply with approved WPS, PQR, and applicable codes (ASME, API, etc.).
• Maintain and update welding logs for each welding joint.
• Coordinate and follow up on all required NDT activities, including but not limited to:
o Radiographic Testing (RT)
o Penetrant Testing (PT)
o Positive Material Identification (PMI)
• Ensure repair welding is performed correctly where required and re inspection is completed.
3- Testing & Inspection
• Coordinate and supervise hydrostatic testing activities as per pipeline or project specifications.
• Ensure test pressures, holding times, and acceptance criteria are met and documented properly.
4- Documentation & Certification
• Prepare and compile all welding and fabrication documentation, including:
o Welding logs
o NDT reports
o Hydrotest records
o Welder qualifications and certifications
o Material certificates (MTCs)
• Submit complete documentation packages to the QC team for review and approval.
• Support QC and client inspectors during inspections and audits.
5- Coordination & Reporting
• Coordinate with QC, Engineering, and Planning teams to resolve technical or quality issues.
• Provide regular progress updates and highlight any risks or delays to management.
Essential Requirements of the role (Experience / Skills / Competencies):-
• Years of experience: Minimum 5–10 years of experience in welding and fabrication, with supervisory experience.
• Field of experience: Excellent knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW).
• Technical Skills: Familiar with NDT requirements and pipeline/fabrication specifications.
• Tools or Software (Required / Preferred): Excellent knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, FCAW).
• Education Qualifications: Technical diploma or equivalent training in welding or fabrication (preferred).
• Industry Background or Experience (Required / Preferred): Have CSWIP 3.1 certificates (preferred).
• Required Accreditations / Qualifications / Certification / Licenses including Driving License:
- Welding logs
- NDT reports
- Hydrotest records
- Welder qualifications and certifications
- Material certificates (MTCs)
