We are seeking a highly experienced Artificial Intelligence (AI) expert with over six years of proven experience in designing, developing, and implementing AI and machine learning solutions, as well as managing AI products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of government sector needs and the ability to translate them into practical, scalable use cases. This role will play a key part in enhancing government services, improving operational efficiency, and enabling data-driven decision-making, in alignment with national digital transformation and AI strategies, as well as AI ethics standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of data scientists and AI engineers to design, develop, and deploy AI-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with various departments to identify opportunities where AI can enhance service delivery and operational performance.
- Translate business needs and operational challenges into actionable AI use cases with defined KPIs and measurable impact.
- Develop and maintain the AI roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational and national digital strategies.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of AI projects, from proof of concept (PoC) to production deployment.
- Evaluate and select appropriate tools, technologies, and models across machine learning, deep learning, NLP (Arabic), computer vision, generative AI, and LLMs.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, cybersecurity, and AI ethics standards and regulations.
- Implement best practices in data engineering and MLOps to ensure scalability, reliability, and sustainability of AI solutions.
- Mentor team members and contribute to building internal AI capabilities.
- Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on project progress, outcomes, and business impact.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in AI/ML development and implementation.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and delivering AI solutions at scale.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, NLP (preferably Arabic), and AI product management.
- Experience working within or with government entities is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with data governance, cybersecurity, and AI ethics frameworks.
