Education:Diploma or Technical Certification in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or relevant hands-on experience in UAV assembly and composite fabrication.

Role Overview:

As An Assembly Technician, you will be a akey member of the production team, responsible for the physical realization of high performance UAV platforms. This role focuses on the precisition fabrication of composite airframes and the meticulous integration of internal systems. You will bridge the gap between engineering designs and flight-ready aircrafts, ensuring that every UAV meets the rigorous and quality standards required for Defense and Industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Composite fabrication: Perform wet lay-ups, vacuum bagging, and curing of carbon fiber, fiberglass, and Kevlar components; execute high quality fabrication and surface finishing.
  • Precision Airframe Assembly: Bond, rivet, and fasten composite structured and mechanical sub-assemblies according to strict engineering tolerances and assembly jigs.
  • System Intergration: Install and rouite internal hardware, including propulsion systems (electrical and fuel), servos, fuel tanks, and complex wiring harnesses.
  • Workshop Operations: Operate and maintain shop machinery and various hand/power tools.
  • Quality Assurance: Condust structural integrity inspections, weight and balance checks, and ensure all buolds adhere to serialzed traceability requirements.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed build logs, material batch records, and contribute to the refinement of the Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs).

Required Qualifications:

  • Technical Background: A minimum of3-5 years of hand-on experience in composite manufacturing or aerospace assembly.
  • Composite Expertise: Proven proficiency in working with composite and epoxy resins, including cutting, laminating, bonding and finishing.
  • Tooling proficiency: Strong experience with precision measurement tools (Callipers, Micrometers) and shop equipment (Drill press, Dremels, Pneumatic tools).
  • Technical Literacy: Ability to read and interpret 2D technical drawings, 3D CAD models, and complex assembly intsructions.
  • Soldering & Wiring: Basic experience in electricval harness assembly, terminal climping, and soldering for UAV power systems (preferred).
  • Physical Capability: Ability to work in a workshop environment, handle chemicals/resins safely, and lift objects upto 25Kg.
  • Safety Mindset: Disciplined approach to workshop safety, PPE usage, and organized tool management.
  • Team Collaboration: A proactive attitude and the ability to work seamlessly with R&D engineers to troubleshoot assembly bottlenecks.
