Job Description
Role Description The Asset Manager at Coders Den is a part-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of digital and technical assets, including software licenses, hardware inventories, documentation, and internal tools. Day-to-day tasks include tracking asset ownership and status, maintaining accurate records in asset management systems, and ensuring that assets are used efficiently and aligned with project and budget requirements. The Asset Manager collaborates with engineering, operations, and finance teams to forecast asset needs, coordinate procurement or decommissioning, and support compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The role also involves preparing regular reports on asset utilization, cost optimization opportunities, and potential risks, as well as recommending improvements to asset management processes and standards.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to manage digital and technical assets, including tracking inventories, software licenses, and hardware allocations.
- Experience working with asset management tools, spreadsheets, or database systems to maintain accurate, organized records.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess asset utilization, identify inefficiencies, and propose practical solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a part-time schedule.
- General understanding of IT or software development environments; experience in a technology company or startup is beneficial.
- Familiarity with basic budgeting, cost tracking, or financial concepts related to asset procurement and maintenance is a plus.
- Relevant education or training in business, information technology, operations, or a related field is preferred but not required.
