Assistant / Associate Professor – Accounting and Finance

Thumbay College of Management and AI in Healthcare, Gulf Medical University, Ajman, UAE, invites applications for the position of Assistant / Associate Professor in Accounting and Finance. We are seeking a motivated and academically accomplished professional with strong capabilities in teaching, research, and academic service.

The selected candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Accounting, Finance, and related courses, contribute to curriculum development, engage in scholarly research, supervise student projects, and participate in academic and institutional activities. Candidates with experience in national and international accreditation processes will be preferred.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualification

• A PhD in Accounting, Finance, from a recognized and accredited university.

Teaching Experience

• Demonstrated teaching experience in higher education in one or more of the following areas: Finance, Accounting, and Economics.

Academic Rank Requirements

For Assistant Professor: relevant teaching, research, or professional experience in the discipline.

For Associate Professor: substantial teaching experience, a strong research profile, and evidence of academic leadership.

Research and Scholarly Contribution

• A proven record of research publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals is preferred.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong communication and presentation skills, ability to mentor students, curriculum design capability, and commitment to academic excellence.

Preferred Requirements

• Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
