Job Description

Our Client, a leading Multi National Company is looking out for an Assistant Category Manager, (based in Dubai UAE), who will be responsible for handling overall category performances for the Group, to boost growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Category segmentation & positioning
  • Estimate market size & segmentation by sub-category & packaging
  • Assess competitor's portfolio & positioning by category & territory (product, packaging, price)
  • Recommend the most relevant & efficient positioning by category & territory
  • In conjunction with management & planning, establish business strategy & goals to maximize financial plans.
  • Manage product ranges, from SKU selection to delisting, and monitor performance vs. targets.
  • Define prices consistently with benchmarks and contract requirements.
  • Ensure product rotation, and manage promotions & markdown strategies.
  • For non-international products, maintain planograms and negotiate conditions.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor degree in merchandising, marketing, or related area preferred
  • Strong experience with Word & Excel necessary; with SAP and planogram tool (Space Planning) a plus
