Job Description

Location: EL Gouna

General Responsibilities:

Support and report to the Area Director of Engineering to ensure consistent technical governance, accurate engineering reporting, and effective maintenance performance across all OHM hotels. The role is responsible for reviewing and verifying technical information received from hotels, consolidating and standardizing engineering reports, tracking CMMS/Ken Fix performance, monitoring preventive maintenance implementation, and supporting continuous improvement in asset management, utility consumption, compliance, and operational reliability.

Duties:

Asset Management

• Maintain and oversee the engineering asset registers across OHM hotels, ensuring all equipment and systems are accurately recorded, reviewed, and updated through a consistent reporting approach.

• Monitor asset history, maintenance records, and equipment performance trends.

• Support asset lifecycle management, including condition assessments, replacement planning, and capital expenditure recommendations.

• Ensure proper documentation for all engineering assets, warranties, manuals, and service records.

• Prepare asset-related reports for management review and budget planning.

Preventive Maintenance Planning

• Develop, maintain, and monitor the annual preventive maintenance master plan across all OHM hotels, ensuring each hotel follows the approved schedule and submits accurate completion updates.

• Coordinate preventive maintenance activities with engineering team members and external contractors.

• Track preventive maintenance completion rates across all OHM hotels and highlight delays, overdue tasks, or repeated deviations for corrective action.

• Analyze maintenance performance and recommend improvements to optimize equipment reliability and availability.

• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety and operational standards.

CMMS/Ken Fix Reporting and Follow-up

• Monitor CMMS/Ken Fix usage across all OHM hotels and verify that work orders are generated, assigned, updated, and closed according to the approved maintenance workflow.

• Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance work orders are properly monitored, escalated when overdue, and closed with accurate technical feedback.

• Review system data accuracy, maintenance records, and KPI inputs to ensure reliable corporate reporting and follow-up.

• Prepare unified CMMS performance reports, dashboards, and exception summaries for the Area Director of Engineering.

• Train and support engineering team members on proper utilization of the system.

Energy Monitoring and Sustainability

• Monitor daily electricity, water, diesel, and other utility consumption across all OHM hotels, using standardized reporting formats to identify abnormal trends and follow up with the relevant hotel teams.

• Analyze utility trends, identify abnormal consumption patterns, and investigate variances.

• Develop and implement energy conservation initiatives to reduce operating costs and improve sustainability performance.

• Prepare monthly utility and energy performance reports across OHM hotels, highlighting trends, abnormal consumption, saving opportunities, and actions required from each property.

• Support environmental and sustainability programs in accordance with hotel standards and corporate requirements.

Engineering Operations Support

• Assist the Chief Engineer in planning and coordinating engineering operations.

• Support budget preparation and cost-control initiatives related to maintenance and utilities.

• Consolidate engineering KPIs, technical updates, maintenance performance, utility consumption, and corrective-action status into standardized reports for corporate engineering review.

• Participate in engineering audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.

• Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Job Specifications

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or relevant Engineering discipline.

• Master's degree is considered an advantage.

• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent project/program management certification is preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in hotels, hospitality, facilities management, or related industries.

• Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or engineering planning role.

• Experience using CMMS systems, preferably Ken Fix.
