OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for creating and managing engaging visual content across the hotel's social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Develop creative marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility, drive demand, and effectively position the hotel's rooms, meeting and event spaces, food and beverage outlets, and spa, ensuring each reflects its unique identity while aligning with the overall brand direction. Work closely with hotel departments and the Director of Communication to maintain a consistent and compelling digital presence.
Ensure all digital and print assetssuch as the hotel website, in-room iPads, and promotional materialsare up to date and meet Rosewood Hotels standards. Ensure that all brand standards and brand guidelines are properly implemented.
Design and produce high-quality visual assets, including hotel collateral, promotional materials, food and beverage menus, advertising content, and festive season brochures, ensuring alignment with the brand's creative guidelines and aesthetic identity. Oversee the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing concepts, and creating graphics, including illustrations, logos, layouts, and photos.
Analyze insights and feedback to refine content strategies and enhance audience engagement.
The Assistant Communications Manager is responsible for developing impactful, functional, and visually compelling content using various design technologies. This includes creating visual assets to support marketing campaigns, designing graphic overlays for social media posts, and producing engaging digital content.
Additionally, create mood boardscurated collections of images and text that communicate the project's or brand's overall aesthetic and messaging.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design & Content Creation
- Study design briefs and determine requirements for visual content.
- Conceptualize and create visual based on project requirements and brand direction.
- Design and produce high-quality visual assets, including hotel collateral, promotional materials, social media graphics, advertising content, and banners.
- Prepare rough drafts and present ideas for revie and feedback.
- Develop illustration, logos, and other designs using design software or hand-drawn techniques.
- Use appropriate colors, layouts, and fonts for each design to enhance brand identity and visual appeal.
- Design and update food and beverage menus, festive brochures and event promotional materials.
- Create mood boards that communicate the overall brand aesthetic and campaign direction.
- Design graphic overlays for social media posts, videos, and digital marketing initiatives.
Branding & Marketing Support
- Maintain and ensure consistency in branding across all hotel marketing materials.
- Collaborate with copywriters, the creative director, and other hotel departments to produce the final design for campaigns and marketing materials
- Assist in developing marketing campaigns by providing creative input and visual solutions.
- Ensure all digital and print assets, including the hotel website, in-room iPads, and signage, are updated and aligned with brand guidelines.
- Ensure the final graphics and layouts are visually appealing, effective, and aligned with brand standards.
Photography & Videography
- Capture high-quality photography and videography for marketing, social media, and promotional use.
- Edit and enhance photos and videos for optimal visual appeal and engagement.
- Ensure all multimedia content adheres to the hotel's branding and storytelling approach.
Strategy & Performance Analysis
- Analyze insights and audience feedback to refine content strategies and improve engagement.
- Test graphics across various media (social media platforms, websites, print materials, etc.) to ensure consistency and impact.
- Work closely with the Director of Communication to align content strategies with overall marketing goals.
- Research design trends, digital marketing best practices, and competitor content to keep the hotel's visuals fresh and innovative.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience:Minimum one years experience as a position at a 5-star hotel.
- Education: High school diploma; professional certification preferred.

- Proficiency in web design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD)
- Knowledge of video editing and production tools (e.g., Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
- Strong understanding of UI/UX design principles
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their content formats
- Experience with photography (camera operation, editing, and retouching)
- Familiarity with SEO best practices for visual content
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS basics for web design
- Ability to create and manage digital content for websites, blogs, and social media platforms
- Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
