Our client, a prestigious UAE government entity, is seeking an
Assistant Contracts & Procurement Specialist to support procurement operations, contract administration, supplier coordination, and tender activities while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and financial controls.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Process and follow up purchase requests in accordance with approved procurement procedures
- Maintain procurement records, including purchase orders, supplier files, contracts, and tender documentation
- Support the end-to-end tendering process, including RFQs, bid evaluations, commercial comparisons, and award documentation
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Monitor supplier performance, contract validity, renewals, deliverables, and compliance requirements
- Follow up invoices and payment status with finance and relevant departments
- Prepare procurement reports, contract status reports, supplier performance reports, and procurement KPIs
- Support inventory and stock control activities where applicable
- Ensure procurement activities comply with UAE government regulations, internal policies, delegated authority, and audit requirements
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related discipline
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Diploma holders should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, contracts administration, tendering, supplier management, or related functions is preferred
- Knowledge of procurement processes, RFQs, purchase orders, contract administration, and supplier coordination
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/e-Procurement systems (Oracle or SAP is an advantage)
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and compliance awareness
- CIPS certification or an equivalent procurement qualification is an advantage
- UAE government, semi-government, higher education, or large corporate procurement experience is preferred
- Arabic language skills are an advantage
