Job Description

What You'll Do:

This role will report into CFO and Head of Investment (China), with a flat team structure

and potential to mentor junior member(s) while taking on deal captain roles /

responsibilities

Focusing on the district cooling/heating and renewable sector in China, he/she will be a

key senior member of the transaction team to perform business and financial analysis,

analyse and execute strategic investments and divestments including but limited to:

  • leading and reviewing valuation model, validate assumptions and perform strategic analysis (business and commercial) and assessment of risks
  • driving transaction execution, including due diligence, project management, review of documentation, completion and closing arrangements while working closely with internal teams (business development, O&M, engineering/design, finance, treasury, legal), professional advisers and deal counterparties
  • leading regular business reviews of existing portfolio and recommend/monitor value enhancing initiatives
  • keeping up-to-date on research and analysis of market-related developments, industry peers, regulatory developments and maintain a database of such analysis
  • help ensuring the asset companies follow the internal approval processes and comply with established guidelines and procedures
  • prepare high quality investment memoranda and develop solid reports and presentation to aid decision making and investment approval

What You'll Need:

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance, and/or Business with strong academic results
  • Engineering with Business and/or Finance related majors will also be considered
  • 3 to 5 years relevant experience in corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, project finance, investments in district cooling/heating, power and/or renewables
  • Advanced financial modelling skills with experience in building complete and complex models is a must
  • Balanced commercial and risk mindset
  • Team player who can work independently in a fast-moving and flexible environment
