Assistant Group & Events Manager

The Creekside Hotel, Dubai

About the Role

The Creekside Hotel is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Group & Events Manager to support the planning, coordination, and execution of group bookings and events. This role is key in ensuring seamless communication with clients, maximizing event revenue, and delivering exceptional guest experiences across all functions.

Key Responsibilities

Group Sales & Coordination

  • Assist in managing group inquiries, preparing proposals, contracts, and rooming lists.
  • Support the conversion of group business by following up with potential clients and partners.
  • Coordinate site inspections, hotel show-arounds, and client meetings.
  • Maintain accurate records in the hotel's CRM and event systems.

Event Planning & Execution

  • Work closely with the Events Manager to plan, organize, and execute corporate and social events.
  • Prepare event orders (BEOs), agendas, function sheets, and other required documentation.
  • Ensure all event details are communicated clearly to Operations, F&B, Rooms, and other departments.
  • Attend events to support clients, troubleshoot issues, and guarantee smooth operations.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build strong, service-driven relationships with event planners, corporate clients, and travel partners.
  • Handle client requests promptly and professionally to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Gather post-event feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Administration & Reporting

  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and updates as required by the Events Manager or DOSM.
  • Monitor event revenue, upsell opportunities, and profitability.
  • Support billing, invoicing, and payment follow-ups to ensure commercial accuracy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate closely with Sales, Reservations, F&B, Housekeeping, and Finance teams.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and operational briefings.
  • Assist with marketing content for events, promotional materials, and social media support when needed.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Events, Business, or related field.
  • 24 years of experience in events or group sales within hotels or event venues (UAE experience preferred).
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with the ability to handle multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client-handling skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and hotel sales systems (Opera, Delphi, or similar).
  • Detail-oriented, service-focused, and able to work under pressure.
