Job Purpose

As Assistant Finance Manager for MENAPT, you will drive financial planning, performance management, and strategic support across the Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan, and Turkey. The role focuses on delivering financial excellence, ensuring compliance, and providing value-added insights to regional leadership and key client Ericsson.

Responsibilities include FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, cash flow optimization, and coordination with central accounting, SSC, and country finance teams. Reporting to the MEA Head of Finance, with matrix alignment to Operations and EMEA Finance, the role combines strong technical expertise with strategic business partnership in a complex, multi-country environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regional Financial Management
  • Lead financial operations across MENAPT, managing multi-country reporting cycles, month-end close processes, and preparation of annual financial packs.
  • Deliver comprehensive variance analysis and performance commentary tailored for both internal leadership and client stakeholders.
  • Ensure financial integrity and consistency across diverse regulatory environments and operational models.
  • Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Drive the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, consolidating inputs from country teams and aligning with regional strategic objectives.
  • Analyze cost structures, margin trends, and savings opportunities to identify areas for financial improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Develop scenario-based financial models to support strategic initiatives, decisions, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Client Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Act as the primary finance interface for Ericsson's Middle East regional leadership, CBRE/CBX Operations Directors, Senior Facilities Managers and Onsite Facilities Managers.
  • Lead financial presentations and performance reviews, translating complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Foster strong client relationships through transparent communication, proactive issue resolution, and delivery of high-quality financial support.
  • Cash Flow & Working Capital Optimization
  • Oversee invoicing, collections, and aged debt management to ensure healthy cash flow and working capital performance.
  • Approve and validate journal entries and accruals processed by central teams, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Resolve reconciliation mismatches and reporting discrepancies across CBRE/CBX and Ericsson systems, maintaining financial clarity and control.
  • Operational Execution & Financial Control
  • Execute hands-on financial analysis, reporting, and reconciliations within a lean team structure, balancing strategic oversight with operational rigor.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial deliverables, maintaining audit readiness and compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Support internal and external audits, providing documentation, analysis, and responses to audit queries.
  • Process Improvement & Systems Enhancement
  • Lead initiatives to streamline financial workflows, reduce reporting delays, and enhance data reliability across multiple geographies.
  • Identify and resolve system mismatches and control gaps, improving the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.
  • Champion continuous improvement, leveraging technology and best practices to elevate finance function performance.
  • MEA-Level Support & Contribution
  • Collaborate closely with the MEA Head of Finance on regional initiatives, including strategic planning, performance reviews, and executive reporting.
  • Contribute to MEA-wide deliverables, supporting cross-country alignment and regional financial governance.
  • Provide analytical support and insights for regional decision-making, helping shape financial strategy across the broader MEA region

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in in Finance or Accounting.
  • Fluency in English is a must.
