This position sits within a well-established government-backed organisation in Dubai operating across large-scale infrastructure and logistics projects. The
corporate finance team combines the stability of a public-sector entity with a commercial, private-sector mindset. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Assistant FP&A Manager is a highly visible individual contributor role offering significant exposure to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and monthly variance analysis to support business performance and strategic decision-making.
- Develop executive dashboards and management reports that integrate financial and operational KPIs.
- Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, cost drivers, and commercial opportunities.
- Design and automate reporting solutions using Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot, DAX, and advanced Excel.
- Partner with finance and project teams to ensure consistency between management reporting and underlying accounting data.
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives by improving reporting processes, automation, and business intelligence capabilities.
Skills & Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or management reporting.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA, CMA, or CIMA is highly preferred.
- Advanced, hands-on expertise in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Power Query, Power Pivot, and DAX is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience managing and analysing large datasets and building interactive dashboards.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Prior experience within a large corporate or multinational organisation is preferred.
- A Big 4 background is considered an advantage.
- Ability to work autonomously, with a proactive approach and strong comfort with data tools.
