About the Role:
As the Assistant - Fixed Assets, will be responsible for Fixed Assets functions of coordination, administration, physical verification and tracking and assistance with reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creation of asset code and assign tag number to assets for tracking.
- Ensure all assets are properly classified, categorized and recorded in line with company's asset management policy & procedures.
- Collaborating with all business units for any asset disposal and asset transfer
- Conducting periodic verification and confirmation of asset and managing inventory in order to ensure the accuracy of stock.
- Assist in development and implementation of asset management systems
- Assist in preparation of asset schedule & other reports as required by higher management.
- Maintaining supporting document for auditors related to asset accounting.
- Liaise with Insurance Company for any new insurance policies requirements for vehicles, equipment (plant & machinery) and other assets
- Maintaining the necessary data as required by Insurance Company
- Maintaining insurance coverage data and expiry dates in coordination with Finance/Accounts to ensure timely renewal and complete coverage of company assets
- Coordinate with insurance company and various business units for settlement of insurance claims (Workmen Compensation, Vehicle Total Loss/Accident, Property Damage).
- Monitoring the insurance expenses are booked to the respective cost centers
Qualifications & Experience
- Finance or finance-related educational background
- 1 to 5 years of experience in a Finance role
- Knowledge in Arabic language is a must
