Assistant General Counsel – Finance & Commercial | Dubai

We are supporting a leading Dubai-based aviation organisation with the appointment of an Assistant General Counsel – Finance & Commercial.

This is a unique opportunity for an aviation finance lawyer to join a growing international airline and play a key role in aircraft acquisitions, financing, refinancing, leasing transactions, and strategic commercial matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead aircraft financing, refinancing, leasing, and acquisition transactions
• Draft and negotiate complex financing and commercial agreements
• Advise on legal, regulatory, and commercial risks
• Support maintenance, fuel, technology, and operational contracts
• Partner with senior stakeholders across the business
• Drive matters independently from inception to completion

Key Requirements

• Qualified lawyer (preferably common law qualified)
• Strong experience in aviation finance, aircraft leasing, or asset finance
• Proven drafting and negotiation capability
• Commercially minded with strong stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of complex transactions
