Assistant General Manager – Abu Dhabi
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Industry: Freight Forwarding, Logistics, Transportation & Dangerous Goods Employment: Full-Time – Family Status
POSITION OVERVIEW
Client is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Assistant General Manager – Abu Dhabi to support the management and continued growth of its Abu Dhabi operations.
This is a senior leadership position requiring a strong combination of sales and business development, freight forwarding, transportation, Dangerous Goods (DG) logistics, operational management, customer relationship management and team leadership.
The successful candidate must be capable of independently managing the Abu Dhabi business, developing new revenue streams, maintaining key customer relationships and coordinating complex logistics and transportation requirements.
The position requires a hands-on leader who is equally comfortable meeting senior customers, developing business, negotiating commercial contracts, managing a team and becoming involved in critical operational matters when required.
The candidate will initially work closely with senior management and will progressively assume wider responsibility for the Abu Dhabi operations.

6. Contracts, Tenders & Commercial Management
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Approximately 15–20+ years of relevant professional experience, ithin the UAE logistics industry.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior managerial/leadership capacity.
• Currently based in Abu Dhabi/UAE, with strong knowledge of the Abu Dhabi business environment.
• Proven experience in sales and business development within freight forwarding/logistics/transportation.
