Assistant General Manager New Restaurant Opening, Abu Dhabi

Inspired by London's eclectic dining scene, our restaurant blends Mediterranean flavours with a modern, elevated twist, with the grill at the heart of all we produce. With 265 covers, including a stunning 164-seat terrace overlooking Abu Dhabi's first-ever fountains, this is set to be one of the city's most dynamic new dining destinations.
As Assistant General Manager, you will play a key leadership role in bringing this vision to life, working closely with the General Manager and senior leadership team to ensure a successful opening and ongoing operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the General Manager in all aspects of daily operations, ensuring seamless service across a large, high-volume venue.
- Drive team recruitment, training, and development to build a motivated, guest-focused workforce.
- Oversee FOH operations, guest relations, and service standards, delivering an exceptional dining experience for every guest.
- Assist with P&L management, budgets, and KPI performance, contributing to the restaurant's financial success.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef, Head of Bar, and senior team members to align operations with brand standards and strategic goals.
- Play a hands-on role during pre-opening, supporting vendor setup, systems implementation, and SOP development.
- Champion health, safety, and compliance, ensuring a flawless operational environment.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven management experience within premium or high-volume dining concepts.
- Strong operational background with the ability to lead large teams in a fast-paced environment.
- A passion for hospitality with a guest-first mindset and commitment to excellence.
- Financial awareness and exposure to P&L management, labor controls, and performance metrics.
- Experience in pre-openings is highly desirable.
- Culturally adaptable, collaborative, and able to inspire others.
- Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are a plus.
