Job Summary
The Assistant Manager supports the daily operations of the office, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality client service, and compliance with internal policies. The role assists in managing administrative processes, coordinating between departments, supervising support staff, and helping partners and managers achieve operational objectives. Previous experience in an accounting firm or law office is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Office Manager/Partners in overseeing daily office operations.
- Coordinate workflows between accountants/lawyers and administrative staff.
- Monitor task completion and ensure deadlines are met.
- Supervise reception, administration, and office support teams.
- Manage client onboarding and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ensure proper filing and organization of physical and electronic records.
- Prepare operational reports and performance updates.
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and internal communications.
- Assist in implementing office policies and standard operating procedures.
- Monitor office expenses and coordinate procurement of office supplies.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of administrative staff.
- Handle client inquiries and resolve operational issues professionally.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality requirements and regulatory standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve office efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Law, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in an accounting firm, audit firm, legal office, or professional services environment.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
- Experience with office management and administrative operations.
