Job Purpose:
This role is responsible for providing financial analysis, preparing financial statements and reports, and ensuring compliance with internal and external accounting regulations; active involvement in budgeting, forecasting and statutory reporting.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and maintain effective internal accounting processes and procedures to adhere to internal as well as statutory requirements.
- Prepare accurate financial statements in accordance with accounting standards to support management information systems and decision making.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support management information systems and decision making.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies decision making and controls.
- Lead and coach a team of accounting professionals to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure timely collections of receivables unhindered functioning of the company.
- Establish and monitor internal controls to adhere to right practices.
- Oversee accounts receivable/payable processes and payments to ensure financial health of the company is maintained.
- Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes to support mid & long-term planning.
- Analyze financial performance and advise senior management on potential areas of improvement to support management information systems and decision making.
Education, Experience & Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance. Professional certification such as ACCA, CIMA, CMA, CA etc.
- 5 years experience, of which at least 2 years in Assistant Manager capacity. Hands-on experience in preparing financial reports and Analysis. Knowledge of Oracle preferred. Candidates with logistics background preferred.
- Proficient in MS-office; accounting standards; power point presentations and reporting models.
