Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the admission & discharge of patients, doctors fees processing, cashiering, in-flight deposit collections, LOG & pre-authorisation certifications and claims processing.
- Lead & manage a team of staff in managing patients, customers, doctors and clinic staff on admission, financial counselling, deposit collections and inflight top-ups, discharge, billing, claims and doctor's fees charging.
- Ensure queries are attended to efficiently within established service standards, maintaining good rapport with patients, doctors, clinics staff and the general public.
- Plan & manage staff roster, conduct meetings, trainings, recruitment and appraisal.
- Establish periodic review of workflows.
- Establish Service Quality guidelines and manage delivery of service level commitments, coaching staff and ensuring relevant staff trainings.
- Attend to audits by MOH, CPF Board, internal & external auditors.
- Establish, manage and review Key Performance Indicators for Admission & Discharge.
- Lead in continuous improvements projects and innovation in process and system.
- Work closely with all stakeholders in the management of patients journey in the hospital.
- Provide prompt, polite, and attentive service to patients and their next of kin.
- Participate in committees as assigned.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Degree holder or professional studies with relevant front-line working experience.
- At least 5 years experience in admission & discharge in the healthcare sector with supervisory experience.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and good writing skills.
- Good relationship management skills.
- Knowledge of private healthcare practices and health insurance policies.
