About the Role
EVOTEQ is seeking a results-driven and strategic Assistant Manager Business Development to drive growth within digital transformation and smart technologies specifically traceability and transparency. The successful candidate should be able to generate new leads, qualifynew business opportunities, coordinate in building proposals, build strong partner and customer relationships with key clients and government entities, and support the delivery of innovative technology-driven solutions. Reporting directly to the VP of Business Development, the successful candidate must be able to take initiative and work collaboratively across functions, taking guidance where needed and escalating at appropriate intervals to achieve the required end results.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
- Assess the MEA market for geographic and industry expansion.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to support strategic decision-making and identify emerging trends.
- Representing EVOTEQ in industry events, exhibitions and campaigns, to Identify and generate new leads aligned with the expansion strategy.
- Qualify new leads, and coordinate with the functional and technical teams leading proposal development, RFP/RFQ responses, and contract negotiations.
2. Client & Partner Engagement
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including government organizations, large enterprises, technology partners, standards organizations. and system integrators.
- Manage the early cycle of engagement from initial interaction, signing Non Discloser agreements, Memorandum of Understanding, and coordination for exploratory meetings.
- Attend client and partner meetings, gather requirements, analyse problem statements, and lead solutioning with the support of the functional and technical teams.
3. Revenue Growth & Performance
- Achieve assigned qualified pipeline growth, sales and revenue targets through proactive pipeline management and deal conversion.
- Maintain accurate forecasts, sales reports, and updates to ensure transparency and data-driven decision-making.
- Work cross-functionally with Solution Architects, Project Managers, and Marketing to ensure client satisfaction and successful project delivery.
4. Partnership Development
- Identify and develop strategic alliances with local and international technology vendors and service providers.
- Collaborate with the VP Business Development to strengthen EVOTEQ's partner ecosystem and joint go-to-market initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Excellent command of English and Arabic (French is a value add).
- Minimum 5 years of business development and consultancy-led solution selling experience within digital transformation, ICT, or smart technology sectors, with a preference for GCC experience.
- Proven success in managing large-scale B2G and B2B accounts, especially within smart city, e-government, or sustainability projects.
- Deep understanding of emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, cloud, data analytics, and digital infrastructure.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills with C-level stakeholders.
