Assistant Manager - Capital and Liquidity Management
Location :- Dubai Dubai Silicon Oasis
Contract Period: 3 months (renewable basis requirement for next 3 months)
JOB PURPOSE:
As the Assistant Manager for Capital and Liquidity Management, contribute to the success of the department's strategies and objectives, ensuring specific individual goals, plans and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the Bank's liquidity and capital management requirements. This role involves analyzing data, preparing liquidity and capital reports, and providing insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making. Must ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies and procedures.
Capital Management
- Assist in the preparation and submission of capital adequacy reports to regulatory authorities (CBUAE) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Monitor and analyze the bank's capital ratios to ensure bank compliance with regulatory requirements
- Support the development and implementation of capital management strategies to optimize the bank's capital structure.
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to assess the impact of various factors on the bank's capital position.
Liquidity Management
- Prepare liquidity management reports to senior management on a daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Prepare scenario analysis to assess impact of various initiatives on the bank's liquidity position.
- Respond to information requests for the CBUAE as needed.
Reporting and Analytics
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and the board of directors.
- Analyze data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
Other
- Effect ongoing improvements in operating and MIS aspects of Finance as it pertains to capital and liquidity reporting activities.
- Champion a high-performance environment by constantly delivering above expectations and working collaboratively with other team members in Finance to support departmental objectives. Stay updated on regulatory changes and assess their impact on the bank's capital and liquidity requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
INTERACTION:
- Regulatory Authorities: Liaise with regulatory authorities (e.g., CBUAE) to address queries and ensure compliance with regulatory capital requirements.
- Internal Stakeholders: Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Compliance, IT, and Data Management teams to gather necessary data and ensure data integrity.
- Senior Management: Prepare and present detailed capital reports and analyses to senior management and the board of directors.
Competencies:
- Strong analytical and presentation skills.
- Awareness of regulatory guidelines and standards (CBUAE and/or BIS).
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with internal stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
- Proficient in excel, Power BI/Tableau, competent in VBA/SQL.
- Ability to multi-task and successfully deliver under time-pressure.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or any related fields.
Professional certifications such as PMP, CPA, CFA, FRM, or MBA is beneficial but not required.
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a Finance/Treasury/ Risk/compliance role.
- At least 5-8 years of professional experience
