What you'll do:
The Assistant Manager – Control Tower is responsible for overseeing real-time warehouse operations, ensuring seamless coordination across inbound, outbound, and inventory activities. This role focuses on monitoring performance, resolving operational issues, and driving efficiency through data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Monitoring
- Monitor end-to-end warehouse operations (inbound, outbound, inventory) in real time
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and operational targets
- Identify bottlenecks and take corrective actions promptly
Control Tower Management
- Act as the central point of coordination for all warehouse activities
- Track shipments, order flow, and inventory movement
- Provide timely updates and escalation management
Stakeholder Coordination
- Collaborate with internal teams (transportation, planning, fulfillment)
- Communicate with vendors and third-party logistics providers
- Align operations with business and customer requirements
Data & Reporting
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and improvement areas
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports
- Maintain dashboards and ensure data accuracy
Process Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
- Support automation and system optimization projects
Team Support
- Guide and support control tower executives/analysts
- Ensure proper shift planning and coverage
- Train team members on systems and processes
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience
- 4–7 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or control tower functions
- Experience in e-commerce or high-volume fulfillment environments is preferred
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in WMS, ERP systems, and Excel
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
