Job Description

Overview:

David Webb is seeking a highly motivated and commercially driven Assistant Manager for our new

Abu Dhabi boutique at The Grove, Saadiyat Island. A minimum of 8 years experience in luxury or high jewelry retail is required, with a strong foundation in client service, sales, and team support.

Candidates must already be based in the UAE — relocation will not be provided.

Company Overview:

Founded in New York City in 1948, David Webb is an iconic, luxury design House whose

namesake founder redefined high jewelry. Known for creating exquisitely crafted, bold and unique jewelry, David Webb is widely considered one of the most influential designers of the 20th century.

Today, each David Webb creation is imbued with artisanal excellence and handwork, while drawing inspiration from a vast archive of over 40,000 original renderings, records, and design ideas. Form is essential in all David Webb jewels, and bold color, hand-hammered gold, intricate enamel work, and whimsical animal pieces continue to be prominently featured in the company's collections.

We are headquartered in an historic Neo-Classical building on Madison Avenue in New York's Upper East Side. Over 30 long-tenured master jewelers continue many of David Webb's own traditions, hand-crafting each piece in a workshop directly above the Company's flagship boutique.

In addition to its New York City flagship, David Webb currently has boutiques in Beverly Hills, CA, Doha, and is expanding its presence throughout MENA with its newest boutique at The Grove.

Position Overview:

The Assistant Manager will be a key pillar of the David Webb Abu Dhabi team, supporting the Boutique Manager in driving sales performance, client experience, and day-to-day operations. This role is

well-suited to an ambitious luxury jewelry retail professional who possesses an existing client following, a passion for fine jewelry, and the leadership potential to grow within the business. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable on the floor selling, managing the team in the Boutique Manager's absence, and supporting the operational requirements of a world-class luxury boutique.

Responsibilities:

Sales & Client Development

  • Actively drive personal and team sales performance, consistently working toward and exceeding monthly and annual targets.
  • Support the Boutique Manager in developing and executing client development strategies across VIP and UHNW segments.
  • Build and maintain a personal book of clients, delivering a proactive and highly personalized standard of service.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of client events, private viewings, and boutique activations.

Operations & Team Support

  • Assume full responsibility for boutique operations in the Boutique Manager's absence, maintaining all standards of performance and presentation.
  • Support the Boutique Manager in coaching and developing junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, and visual merchandising in alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all operational, security, and administrative procedures.

Client Experience

  • Deliver an exceptional, tailored client experience at every touchpoint, in keeping with David Webb's ultra-luxury positioning.
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date client records, ensuring all preferences, purchase history, and key milestones are accurately recorded.
  • Proactively follow up with clients and identify opportunities for re-engagement, new acquisitions, and personalized outreach.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years experience in luxury or high jewelry retail, with demonstrated sales achievement and client relationship management.
  • Existing client following within the UAE, with a track record of cultivating and maintaining meaningful relationships with high-net-worth individuals.
  • Strong product knowledge across fine jewelry and precious gemstones; familiarity with heritage jewelry houses is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to support and motivate a boutique team, maintaining high standards in the Boutique Manager's absence.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to operations, inventory, and boutique presentation.
  • Impeccable personal presentation, refined interpersonal skills, and cultural sensitivity across Abu Dhabi's diverse client base.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office; Arabic language skills are a distinct advantage.

The position is based at our Abu Dhabi boutique, The Grove, Saadiyat Island, and relocation will not be provided. Interested candidates should send a cover letter and resume to [Confidential Information] with Abu Dhabi Boutique Manager in the subject line.
