Role Overview:

The Assistant Manager - Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) supports the implementation and monitoring of the organization's risk management framework. This role involves assisting in risk assessments, maintaining the risk register, and ensuring timely reporting and follow-up on risk mitigation actions. The Assistant Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams to embed risk management practices into operations and provides critical support to the internal audit function by identifying and prioritizing key risks.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing the enterprise risk management framework, tools, and processes.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments, identifying key risks and their potential impacts.
  • Maintain and update the organization's risk register and ensure effective tracking of mitigation actions.
  • Support the development and monitoring of key risk indicators (KRIs) and dashboards.
  • Prepare risk-related reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Collaborate with internal audit teams to integrate risk considerations into audit planning.
  • Support compliance with relevant risk-related policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate risk-awareness programs and training sessions for employees.
  • Provide insights into emerging risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Reporting to - Senior Manager - Risk Management.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven track record of developing and implementing ERM frameworks in complex organizations
  • 10+ years of 46 years of experience in risk management, internal audit, or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
  • Professional certifications such as CRMA, FRM, or PRM (preferred).
  • Certifications in internal audit (e.g., CIA) or compliance (e.g., CCEP) are a plus.
  • Working knowledge of ERM frameworks (e.g., ISO 31000, COSO ERM) and risk management practices.
  • Basic understanding of risk assessment techniques, including qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  • Proficiency in using risk management software and data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and evaluate risks.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to convey complex risk concepts clearly.
  • Basic understanding of compliance and governance processes.
  • Demonstrate critical and analytical thinking skills.
