We are looking to hire an Assistant Manager- IT Project Management who will directly support the IT Manager with application development and system implementation projects for our client based in Dubai one of the largest companies in the region.
This position is a contract role with an initial duration of 6 months and is renewable.
Key responsibilities:
- Coordinate IT project activities, resources, equipment, and information.
- Maintain and update project documentation, including charters, risk registers, issue logs, and status reports.
- Support project managers with resource planning, risk management, and change control activities.
- Prepare project dashboards, KPI reports, and executive summaries for management review.
- Ensure adherence to project governance frameworks, methodologies, and quality assurance processes.
- Support ERP system rollout activities such as testing coordination, data migration tracking, and user training logistics.
- Engage with stakeholders to identify and define project requirements.
- Update project, vendor, and user needs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support budget preparation and tracking.
- Perform risk analysis activities and propose mitigation actions.
- Monitor project progress, addressing any issues that arise.
Knowledge, skills & experience:
- Education: BSc in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
- Min 36 years of experience in project management, PMO operations, or project coordination.
- Hands-on experience with SDLC processes and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
- Knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile.
- Proficiency in MS Project, JIRA, Asana, or other project management tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
