Job Description
To produce and deliver the required quantity and specified quality of ready-mix concrete from the assigned batching plant unit, meeting customer requirements and achieving annual targets within the approved budget. The role ensures efficient utilization of plant resources, compliance with quality and safety standards, and continuous improvement in production operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily plant operations, production output, and all operational targets; take corrective action when required.
- Analyze production processes, equipment performance, and quality data to maximize plant capacity and productivity.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Department for preventive and breakdown maintenance of plants, equipment, and vehicles to minimize downtime.
- Plan raw material and consumable requirements and coordinate with suppliers to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Ensure customer requirements are fully met, and complaints are resolved effectively, independently or in coordination with other department heads.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation for management review.
Prepare the annual production plan and obtain approval from the Production Manager.
- Organize and deploy plant resources effectively to achieve production targets within budget.
- Align production activities with customer requirements and company objectives.
- Monitor production performance trends and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost optimization.
- Ensure production operations comply with internal standards (IMS) and external regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Postgraduate degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
- Certifications in Production, Quality, or HSE (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) are an advantage.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in ready-mix concrete production or construction material production.
