As an Assistant Manager – Security & Loss Prevention, you will support the development and execution of site security strategies, lead Security & Loss Prevention operations, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure a safe, secure, and compliant environment while driving continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Security & Loss Prevention Manager in leading all site security and loss prevention operations.
- Manage and develop SLP Team Leaders, Supervisors, Security Officers, and CCTV Operators to ensure high performance and operational excellence.
- Drive initiatives to reduce inventory shrinkage, theft, fraud, and operational losses through effective risk management and preventive controls.
- Oversee investigations into security incidents, policy violations, inventory discrepancies, and fraud cases, ensuring timely resolution and reporting.
- Analyze security trends, KPIs, and loss prevention metrics to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies, regulatory requirements, and operational standards.
- Oversee CCTV operations, access control systems, physical security measures, and emergency response preparedness.
- Conduct security risk assessments, audits, and site inspections to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation plans.
- Partner with Operations, HR, Facilities, Finance, and other stakeholders to support business objectives while maintaining a secure operating environment.
- Develop and deliver security awareness and loss prevention training programs for employees and contractors.
- Prepare management reports, dashboards, and incident summaries to support business decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance security processes, operational efficiency, and employee safety.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in Security, Loss Prevention, Asset Protection, or Risk Management, preferably within logistics, warehousing, retail, or e-commerce.
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience managing security or loss prevention teams.
- Strong knowledge of investigations, security operations, physical security, access control, CCTV systems, and risk management.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people management capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- Professional certifications in Security or Loss Prevention (e.g., CPP, PSP, LPC) are an advantage.
